Fundació Puigvert is internationally renowned as a centre specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies and dysfunctions of the urinary system. It also treats male genital pathologies and sexual and reproductive medicine for couples.
Created in 1961, the Foundation is a pioneer, an innovator and a leading non-profit centre with a highly trained, experienced and prestigious scientific staff working in integrated and multidisciplinary teams. This University Hospital is part of Catalonia’s Integrated Public Health Care System (SISCAT) and is accredited as a Centre of Reference (CSUR) in urological and renal pathologies by the Spanish Ministry of Health. It occupies an area of 24,000 m2 distributed in 3 buildings. It is a centre of High Technological Complexity and one of the hospitals with the highest volume of activity in its specialties in the western world: each year it admits around 5,500 patients and schedules more than 90,000 visits; it has treated more than 575,000 patients.
