Holder of the Joint Commission International® (JCI) quality seal, IMO is the first ophthalmic centre in Barcelona to obtain it, a testament to its ongoing commitment to international standards for quality care and patient safety.
The experience and teamwork of the Institute’s ophthalmologists, each one specialising in different parts of the eye, make IMO an international centre of reference in combined and highly complex surgical procedures.
The Institute’s facilities occupy an area of 24,000 m2, with 70 consulting rooms and 8 surgical theatres dedicated to comprehensive eye care. The Institute also has an innovative Molecular Biology Laboratory focused on genetic diagnostics and research into new gene and cell therapies.
