Institut Guttmann has a unique care model based on a multidisciplinary team made up of seven professionals who care for each patient from the time they are admitted and monitor the progress of their rehabilitation treatment. In addition, it offers specific functional rehabilitation programmes and special clinical procedures capable of achieving important qualitative improvements for patients with disabilities, as well as the most innovative technologies and the most highly advanced robotic techniques. All of this is possible thanks to the rigour and expertise of the professional staff.

Institut Guttmann holds the prestigious Joint Commission International accreditation which certifies that the hospital meets the most demanding quality and health care standards. It is also EMAS certified for responsible environmental management and possesses IQNet SR-10 accreditation which certifies the Institute’s corporate social responsibility management system.

It is also a University Hospital affiliated with the Autonomous University of Barcelona, where it offers the official Neurorehabilitation programme and concentrates on six strategic lines of research to develop, generate and transfer new knowledge in the field of neuroscience and neurorehabilitation.
